Today we will learn how to use the Shapes Tool with the T Tool to Label the things in our map.
Labeling Our Map
Our map is only helpful if people know what they are looking at. That is why we are going to label the things on our map. We do this by using T Tool to write the name of the thing we are labelling, and the Line Shapes Tool to draw a line from the thing we are labelling to it's name.
- Using small letter sizes will make sure that the names we write do not block out the other things on the map.
- If you have more than one of something (like 2 beds, or 30 computers) you only need to label ONE of them, NOT all of them.
Today's Assignment
Use the T-Tool and the Line Shapes Tool to label the things in your map. Use th T-Tool to write the title of your map, and your name.
Extension Activity
Use the Formatting Tools like Letter Shape, Size, and Color, to make your labels look cooler.
